I’ll be the first to admit, I’m hardly a beer connoisseur. Though I enjoy the occasional craft brew, I just don’t drink very much or very often. That said I still like to pick up interesting and/or highly regarded beers when I see them.
I picked this up while making my own 6 pack at Ds Sixpax and Dogs in Squirell Hill. They also have a restaurant, but I didn’t try the food this trip. (Possible full review at a later date)
I’m still new to beer reviewing, but I’ll give it a shot. I may need a lesson from Mike Beattie at a future foodburgh meetup.
Does it smell like Banana Bread? Yes. There is a definite banana aroma. It isn’t overpowering, but apparent.
Does it taste like Banana Bread? Yes, banana flavor comes through initially, the bread component I would say has more to do with the malt component of the beer. At 5.2%, it’s a bit heavier of a beer, but still fairly light for a craft brew. The alcohol is hidden well, and I didn’t detect much bitterness
Mouthfeel and Drinkability: . The beer had a medium body and a touch more carbonation than I was expecting, not too heavy but you would be hard pressed to run through a sixer..and most likely hammered.
Rating: B-
I agree with the majority of posters on BeerAdvocate. This was a fun, innoffesive drink. I would definitely have another, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to get it.

Sounds decent. When I get a craving for a maltier beer I will give this a shot.
I had this once. I don't think I enjoy drinking liquid banana bread :p to each their own.
This sounds like a beer for me. I am glad you reviewed it.
